Upon arrival in Luxor, begin your exploration with a visit to the Valley of the Kings, where you’ll enter the tombs of Egypt’s greatest pharaohs. Continue to the Temple of Hatshepsut, an architectural marvel dedicated to Egypt’s first female ruler. Conclude this part of the tour with a stop at the Colossi of Memnon.
The temple of El Deir - Elbahri (the temple of the queen Hatshepsut): This temple is one of the most beautiful temples we have in Egypt. It had been cut into the mountain and was built by the queen Hatshepsut (the strong woman who ruled Egypt in the 15th century B.C.). It was used as her mortuary temple.
The Colossi of Memmon: The Colossi of Memmon are two huge statues. They are the only remaining standing statues fronting the mortuary temple of the Imonhotep III. In the late afternoon, transfer back to Luxor airport for your return flight to Cairo. Upon arrival, you’ll be driven back to your hotel, concluding a day filled with history and discovery.
